Managed to get an order placed before the FW titan comp closes this evening. You have to name a titan and provide a 400 word description of how it got the name or its background etc.
You can win one of 2 warhounds, a reaver or a warlord.
Fingers crossed

"I saw men die in waves. Vaporised by beams of glowing green light. Nought left but red mists upon the sands.
Dark metallic shapes pulsed and scythed through their ranks, not just killing. Obliterating.
Burning tank hulks lit the ruins auburn, aircraft dropped from the skies like wounded carrion, officers screamed impotent orders through the din of battle.
Yet on they marched, into a certain death, for nothing could stand against that wall of dark metal.
Until We arrived.

I saw them reform their machine ranks upon our sight. An old foe, ancient beyond Man's comprehension. Merciless, unrelenting.
But an utter abomination to The Ommnisiah.
I spoke a single word. We engaged. And unleashed the fury of our Forge World upon them.

The first to fall was a hulking black cube of unknown origin. We lanced it thrice through its centre hull and it simply imploded.
Then collapsed one of their phalanxes, shredded to a million pieces. Pieces so small even their arcane technology could not repair them.
A suns nova caught the next as it tried to burrow back beneath the sands. We vaporised it as it had done Mankind.

On We marched silently. For I had ordered our War-horn to be muted. We would meet the silence of their death rays with our own.
A God Titan of Mankind. Brought to bring retribution to these machines. To cast them back into the void of existence. But more than that. To obliterate them entirely.
We fought all eve, through phalanx, through armoured column, through ranked walker.

Before dusk we ceased. Nought remained of the dark metallic shapes.
Nothing to even recant their hell upon this World.
Our fury vindicated, our wrath effaced.
I sounded our War-horn and Solas Domhan roared. Roared until the night went black".

I wanted to enter but I couldn't justify 100 GBP right this second... I was gunna do a story about an epic stand of a titan against the chaos space marines during the horus heresy when the traitors fought the loyalists and how the titan was destroying traitor after traitor until it finally fell in the end. Khorne was so impressed by the machine that he recalims it for his own and it became part of his legions that spill blood in his name.

Yeah probably, Gaelic was never my strongest subject.
Wasnt really happy with the name overall to be honest, was looking for something like "light bringer" or "he who brings light" but like I said.....

Iomproir Solais would be the literal translation, but it doesn't have the same connotations. Closest I can think of is An Claíomh Solais, or Sword of Light.
