G'day all,
I am just getting back into 40k and I thought I would join an online community to seek some advice (possibly give some occasionally) from people that have been playing the last few editions. The last time I played was in 3rd maybe 4th edition. Currently I am dusting off my old models and I am stripping a lot of them, repainting and converting plus painting a few new things I bought recently.

I am currently working on an unusual army that I can write interesting fluff for. Thus, it will be Legion of the Damned with a predominately soldier heavy Iron hands army.

I do have multiple armies (painted awesomely... well when I painted them I thought so, lmao. Therefore, they are all in the paint strip basket awaiting to be given new life ).
Armies I have:
40k
5000pts Space Marines (mix of Iron hands, Blood angels and Space wolves)
1000pts Sisters of Battle
1000pts Grey Knights
1000pts Chaos
1000pts Imperial Guard
FANTASY (last played late 90s I think)
5000pts Vampire Counts
2500pts Dwarfs

Some other odds and ends.

Cheers all and I look forward to the conversations.

You picked a GREAT day to join up. Welcome to the Age of Dakka, which will promptly end in about 3ish hours.

Jokes aside, welcome to Dakka. It's not always this crazy (mabye) and people here can actually offer good advice. 40k has got a bit bigger since 3rd, and WHFB has changed into Age of Sigmar, which you will either love or hate. Personally I love it but you should look at it for yourself. In case you still want to play WHFB though there is a thread for it on Dakka alongside AOS.

If you have any questions please feel free to ask. And again, welcome to Dakka!

If you can't believe in yourself, believe in me! Believe in the Dakka who believes in you!

(Yes I have a thing for horde armies to some extent)

Hi,

Welcome to Dakka

IceAngel wrote:I must say Knightley, I am very envious of your squiggle ability. I mean, if squiggles were a tactical squad, you'd be the sergeant. If squiggles were an HQ, you'd be the special character. If squiggles were a way of life, you'd be Doctor Phil...
