The Road to the Apocalypse
Spoiler:
These events happened during the week leading up to the apocalypse match.
I was working on my list and since it was a friendly game I offered to have my friend AK use my Astra Militarum since I was already using Tau and Necrons.
Veteran friend Rocky (who chose to play Chaos Daemons/Chaos Space Marines) caught wind of it and offered to help us write our lists. He did a good job in that. A little too good, as AK now had a list that Rocky told me was terrifying him. As he went through everything nasty AK had, I confronted Rocky by asking why he helped our most strategically savvy friend have the most dangerous toys in the field, something Rocky said could wipe us all out by the end of turn two unless we crippled him. He said that he will focus all his strength on AK in the first turn and will turn his attention toward everybody else once the main threat was crippled.
Our fourth friend, a newcomer who will play Rocky's Tyranids and a few remaining units from different armies, approached me to say he has a vendetta to settle with AK and will focus him above everybody else.
I met AK one day before the big game and he looked at my Necrons and Tau, pointing at my biggest units (Tesseract Vault, Ghost Arcs, Stormsurge, Riptides) and said these will be the first to go once he has his turn. He said he's going to come after me fast and hard with the intention of tabling me with his multitudes of tanks while sending his Mechanicus against Rocky.
A few hours before the game, Rocky called to say he tweaked his Daemon list to be able to address the greater threat, which poses a great threat to everybody equally. The game is primed to start.

He charged his Grey Knights and Dreadknight at the front lines, effectively eradicating them. He also used his Breachers to destroy both Ghost Arks, effectively crippling my respawning ability.
On the other side of the table, he started to attack a squad of Flesh Hounds lead by the Herald of Khorne on a Juggernaut. Minor damage was sustained.
Rocky's Turn (The Ridiculously Improbable Survivalists)
Spoiler:
Rocky brought his two Daemon Princes over to my side to deal with the Kastelan Robots he considered a threat, and to give me space to push forward. His counterattack from his side destroyed a couple of Leman Russ tanks, an Imperial Knight and crippled the Baneblade for one turn. He used his Screamers of Tzeench unit, which was hiding in the central compound of the arena, to slice through the giant blob of Astra Militarum troops with Creed in it, then leave the map safely.
He also parked his Chaos Lord and his squad of Bikers behind enemy lines, directly in the face of the giant blob.
And to keep things unbiased, he destroyed a Devilfish parked in the back of my army with his Hell Brutes. An alliance is forged.
My Turn (The Push Forward):
Spoiler:
I threw everything I got on AK's human army, quickly destroying the Dreadknight and engaging the Grey Knights in combat, even bringing my Essence of the Nightbringer forward to fight (seen above played by Deadpool). Coteaz and his Breachers/Destroyers are cornered now with me and Rocky ripping through his forces.
Round 2:
New Entry: Tyranids! (Surprise Motha*fucka!)
Spoiler:
The Tyranids stepped into the fray, rolling to see which of the six panels of the arena they spawn at! The rule here is that they keep spawning each turn no matter how many of them are taken down.
Above: Gene Stealers spawned at the very back of my army, and took down my Necron Deathmarks, moving on to target the Immortals next. If that wasn't enough, a Trygon had spawned in the front line, aiming for the ongoing battle.
On Rocky's side of the table, a Hive Tyrant emerged, ready and primed to disrupt the flow of battle.
AK's Turn (Title Pending)
Spoiler:
AK is more threatened by Rocky's dramatic advance that he fired all the guns of his Imperial Guard blob at the Chaos Lord and his biker squad, but no losses or wounds stuck after 100 dice were rolled! The remainder of the rolling will proceed the next time we gather, which will be soon. We retired at that point.
He also brought in some reserves: A Valkyrie and a Stormraven from his side of the board and a bunch of Infiltrators at the very back of my side of the board.
State of the Game
Spoiler:
At the break, we took pictures to document the progress and give a clearer idea of the battlefield state. Here are a few pictures.
