How's it going, I was looking at GW website, and was looking at techmarines, and saw a couple, one had a harness and the other just the servo arm, does the arm do the same things as the harness or is it only the harness that gets bonuses to repairing vehicles?
Cheers.

Check the sm codex.
Edit: sorry, let me clarify that; if you can read the answer on here, you can read it in the codex. If you do not own the codex; this forum is not a replacement for the rulebooks.

This is my Rulebook. There are many Like it, but this one is mine. Without me, my rulebook is useless. Without my rulebook, I am useless.
Stop looking for buzz words and start reading the whole sentences.

Servo harness is an upgrade from the armory that every Tech marine gets.
For more fun, the tech marine gunner with the Thunderfire Cannon gets the harness standard.

The full harness is a decent upgrade, but not required. If you just want a low cost HQ, sticking with the servo arm is the way to go. But for the points, you do get a lot of bells and whistles.

Which means, if you think about it, thunderfire a are only 10 pets now...

Mostly just helps you punch things these days. It’s worth noting that the only bonuses to the repair roll come from the harness (and servetors with servo-arms). You can replace the arm with a c-beamer and still just things just as well as if you hadn’t.

The gunner lacks the power axe of a normal techmarine, so you can sell that back for a few points when figuring out the TFC cost. The latest changes to techmarines did very nice things for the TFC. BS5 and 2W being big ones.
