Hi, I'm building an alpha strike list of Grey Knights, with a Detachment of Space Marines. The list needs a strong unit able to provide heavy fire, grav shots more specifically, and my choice was for GravCents in a drop pod. Do you have a better idea to replace mine?

Skyhammer is beautiful but I don't have enough points, I was searching for an alternative unit for the centurions, not a whole formation

Grav cents in a pod with attached divination libby. Unless you feel like running admech instead that's the best way to get the most bang for your buck. If you're lucky when rolling your lobbys spells you might get perfect timing (ignores cover ) or forwarding (4+ invul) to go with presience.

When I run Grav cannons I usually stick a 5 man tac squad in a rhino with one and an auspex on sarge x3. If I'm playing hard mode I pod in a lvl 2 divination libby with 3 Grav cents with exploding nipples (chest TL/ML). Most people won't waste any serious firepower on a 100 point unit even if there is a Grav Cannon in it. If they do, your other nastier stuff lives. If you've got the models and REALLY want to run Grav I'd suggest reversing the detatchments. Run primary SM with allied GK for the CC and psyker boost.

Grav Cents with a Divination librarian carrying an auspex will do fine.

I noticed that 3 cents and a GK libby don't fit in a drop pod, they actually count as 11 models due to bulky and very bulky rules. What about a full grav command squad in a pod or in bikes either?
