Helloo..
So the other day I was playing witha friend who bought a warhound got it all pretty and wanted to try it out. I said sure what the hell I want to try out my Eldar for a game with titans anyways. So we all know chaos is not the best army around.... Or even close to it so by turn 3 his raptors where dead two squads of em, his... The terminators with the deformed hands mutaloted or something like that where dead, and a sorcs.
Sadly I only lost a unit of guardians basics who I planned on trying to slow down the raptors which worked perfectly.
Now as I set there and seen his pretty warhound vs a eldar reaver 2 wraith knights and a couple wraiths with a farseer on a bike.... I did what I always tend to do. I sent a knight with in perfect shooting range insisting I had a plan even tho he warned me. I told him I was goin to flank him and he just didnt see it coming.
After another round a kinght going down a far seer bike randomly trying to melee a chaos lord in termi armour, the hound went down and it ended in a tie or close victory never really tried to figure out if it was a small victory just left it at that.
I actually do the same in whfb too. When I was winning badly I set up a unit of night goblings with fanatics right behind a giant so when the enemy got close the fanatics flew and killed my giant, who squished half the unit of goblins.
So f you know you won and won easly and the next two or three turns will be a clean up do you give some mercy deaths? Let them enjoy a couple kills or do you go full force and crush them then try and tell them how they lost?

If it looks like I am going to wipe the floor with them I normally do just that, and I make it quick. That way we can re-set up and play again, this time my opponant being wiser of my tactics and my armies capabilities.
Letting your opponant kill your units when you know that you should have tabled him by now just seems like being dishonest to your opponant.

Id prefer a quick death, but then again I would never play against an Eldar titan nor a list that had multiple Wraithknights. Granted your opponent did bring a Warhound

It'd be frustrating to me for someone to go "here, I just obliterated you, have a couple free kills" instead of wrapping it up. I follow that attitude when I'm the one winning, and if someone wants to concede that is also perfectly fine.

The only thing worse than death by 1000 cuts is pity points beforehand. I know the intention is well, but in my experience it rarely plays out well. Also concession is perfectly fine. I don't understand why some folks take it as poor sportsmanship. If we're playing 1750 pts, it's turn 3 and I have half a devestator squad, a rhino with a single HP left and a half dead chappy against a force that has sustained less than 1/3 casualties or its a 13-3 in maelstrom on T3, we both know how the game is gonna end, so why do I have to demonstrate sportsmanship by letting you completely ground me to dust? Why can't the onus be on the opponent to accept surrender so I can try again in a second game?

Exactly, I will admit, that every once in awhile, I will crush somebody because they have never played Orks and don't understand "Stay back and shoot them" And I will think "maybe I should go easy for a turn or two to make it more fun for them". What happens is I ask if they want to concede this game and play again. Usually the answer is yes and I usually get steam rolled in game 2

You do not make it obvious that you do it. You just let a certain unit end up to close with out thinking about it. There is no fun in getting curb stomped over and over again and then you end up playing with yourself. I like playing with my wife lol
