I'm a newbie to Necrons, but this seems like a fun first formation list to use with them.

I know I didn't specifically ask for suggestions on this list, but I am surprised there aren't any responses at all.

It looks like a fun list to play with. My only points would be there severe lack of objective-securing units for objectives games, and the small unit sizes for purge the alien type games. A couple of well placed small blasts, and those Scarabs will be wiped in the Canoptek Harvests. That being said, the Retribution Phalanx will still allow for the warrior unit and the 3 scarabs to never die permanently (though obviously in Purge the Alien type games that just means unlimited Kill Points), so they'd be very useful. Looks like a fun concept-based list for friendly non-competitive play, especially for a new player.
