I've noticed recently that a lot of point lists in the army list forum are 1850 points - has that become a relatively standard point limit in tournaments or something?

Most of the tournaments people run are at this point level which is why you see so many of the lists at 1850. If GW starts doing official tournaments who knows what the point value would be. I would laugh if it was a 4k Tournament  Automatically Appended Next Post: Which I wouldn't put past them because then people would HAVE to buy more models in order to go to the tournaments.

There are a few types of lists I see regularly. - Lists suitable for one man store GW games. These stores usually don't have the room for fullscale tables making typical games 1000-1500 games -Lists for 1850 tournaments. This was the standard for a while but the amount of tournament is decreasing rapidly around here. -Lists for tournaments who want smaller and faster games These have all sorts of lists sizes, generally they are somewhat around 1500 - Lists for vets who like to play a casual game with more models. 2000- 3000 pts. Automatically Appended Next Post: This would be the strange combination of fun and nightmarish with a general stressed feeling.

I can do 5k or 6k CSM with 2k renegade guard and 2k daemons yes I am the guy that uses a cart for his bags and then some

 2500 (trimming down in 8th)
TS 30k at 5k points

Only in american tournaments.
It's a terrible points level to actually play at.

This is an actual rule in the actual rulebook. Quit whining about how you can imagine someone's army touching you in a bad place and play by the actual rules.

LOL I feel ya. I have over 20,000 points of Eldar and I just ordered 15 more metal wraithguard to bring me up to 45 metal wraithguard.
