I cant find anywhere to buy chaos black spray from citadel, so I would most likely have to buy something else I found something:
Its called "Aerosol Primer"But its more expensive than citadel 0_o, so does any kind of black spray work for figures, or do the normal ones damage the plastic and make problems with painting after?

The stuff I use is Rustoleum primer, the label says 2× coverage and "Bonds to plastic" on the label. Works better than most primer for not as much as Citadel's stuff.

You need something to bonds to plastic. Rusto ^ and Krylon but make great primers that are way cheaper then GW.

I, like a lot of people, use auto-primers. So, here in the UK we have Hycote and Halford's which are significantly cheaper than most equivalent 'wargaming' alternatives and do a sterling job. They're designed for cars and so adhere well.

If you have any auto-shops that sell acryllic, primers where you are, then that's a great option.

I use krylon hunter green if its a tactical, assault, devastator.
i use krylon ivory satin for bone white.
I use krylon black for for bikers.
I do use design masters grey improved color adhesive base for other vehicles

at michaels it costs about $6 /4.24# for the krylon and $3 / 2.12#

Valspar/Plastikote black primer is my favourite by miles.

order from an online store. also dont get citadel "primers" they are not primers

Matte automotive spray acrylics often work well. Stay away from "putty primers" and stay away from things that are glossy.

Whether or not it is labelled "primer" isn't necessarily all that important, many acrylic sprays that aren't labelled primer have strong enough solvents to etch the surface of a plastic anyway. "Primer" is a very broad term, it can mean a lot of things. In the context of a plastic miniature, you simply want something that sticks well to plastic and paint in turn sticks well to it.

What brands are available to you is going to depend on your location. Check out local hardware stores and automotive stores, or find a modeller who paints nice looking models and ask them what they use. Don't ask someone who paints horrible models because they might not be able to tell the difference between a good primer and a bad one
