Hey all,
I've decided that a Whisper, Turr Phennir and Valen Rudor list is a bit too fragile for a player of my limited experience (and less than stellar record), but, inspired by some videos of the potent combination of the B-wing with advanced sensors (including Paul Heaver's 2013 World's Championship list) I thought I'd give something similar a shot
===========
Quiet Storm
===========
100 points
Pilots
------
“Whisper” (40)
TIE Phantom (32), Intelligence Agent (1), Fire-Control System (2), Veteran Instincts (1), Advanced Cloaking Device (4)
Lieutenant Colzet (26)
TIE Advanced (23), TIE/x1 (0), Proton Rockets (3), Guidance Chips (0), Advanced Sensors (3)
Juno Eclipse (34)
TIE Advanced (28), TIE/x1 (0), Proton Rockets (3), Predator (3), Guidance Chips (0), Advanced Sensors (3)
------
My hope is that the two TIE Advanceds will be a bit more forgiving than the interceptor and TAP combination, and both are able to also take advantage of the intel agent riding with Whisper.
Thoughts?

Maybe give Juno Push the Limit and an Engine Upgrade instead of the Prockets, loses a little bit of punch but opens up an unholy amount of positioning options, means you'd have to find a point from elsewhere maybe swap VI on Wisper for Adaptability which might may a bit risky but PS8 still trumps the majority bar VI Poe or Vader. You could also swap the Adv Sensors for the Adv Target Computer on either or both, the TIE Adv output is somewhat lacking without it

Colzet is great because no one wants him to start flipping cards, but people always think they can wait to take him out if they have shields or if you lack a way to deliver facedown cards, like with Wampa for example. As a result he can go unnoticed for a few rounds until blam, he flips a card up for a nasty crit and suddenly the game changes. Running him with the ATC might cause him to catch flak as that's a pretty handy combo and if your opponent doesn't have shields left or didn't have any in the first place? Well, Colzet isn't going to be very nice. I'd almost want to make sure he is good and dead first as I've experienced firsthand the horror that is being in TL range of Colzet whilst in possession of several facedown damage cards. It's a crappy thing knowing that unless you paste that guy, he's going to eat your ship and there won't be anything you can do.

My first thought about this was, if I'm going to drop to PS8, why not just go to Echo and free up two points instead of one? With the 2 slight decloak instead of straight lines, there's even more opportunities to be in unexpected places and not be shot.

I definitely hear the concern about lacking power without the ATC - that's why I went with the prockets -- one shot, but hopefully one that hits hard -- and Predator on Juno.
I'm just struggling to figure out where to put a single ATC. Juno gets some ability to reposition in reaction to enemy dials even w/o Advanced sensors, but loses a big chunk, not to mention the ability to push the limit for two actions then reveal a green maneuver to clear the stress.
And while Colzet with ATC wouldn't spend the TL while firing often, but it would sorta limit him to using his ability on ships he's gunning for -- while also making him the one ship LEAST able to react to enemy moves.
A revised list (that I'm not sure is an improvement) would look like this:
==================
Juno Eclipse (35)
TIE Advanced (28), TIE/x1 (0), Push the Limit (3), Engine Upgrade (4), Advanced Sensors (3)
Lieutenant Colzet (26)
TIE Advanced (23), TIE/x1 (0), Proton Rockets (3), Guidance Chips (0), Advanced Sensors (3)
“Echo” (38)
TIE Phantom (30), Intelligence Agent (1), Fire-Control System (2), Veteran Instincts (1), Advanced Cloaking Device (4)
Comes to 99 points, with a slight bid or a point to bump a sensor to ATC.

To reiterate what others have said: you would benefit greatly from Advanced Targeting Computer or Accuracy Corrector on your TIE Advances. Their firepower is otherwise so anemic, even with Proton Rockets.
Vader pairs well with Whisper/Echo, especially with VI. He can effectively engage the high-PS aces that your Phantoms are vulnerable to. With VI, ATC, and Engine Upgrade, he comes out to the same price (35pts) as your Juno build.

Heh, this list is almost a definition of the dangers of "mission creep" in that it started with the idea of two Advanceds (Tempest or Storm) with advanced sensors, and then I thought about what ace I could bring for aprox 50 points. I sort of settled on Whisper because I thought the intel agent would be a good match.
After that, I had points to upgrade to Juno/ Colzet so I figured, why not?
But the core concept I wanted to try out was the Advanceds ... (and I only have two and don't see a return in getting more (unless/until I decide to pick up the Raider) so perhaps the better question is how to fill the rest of the list?
An alternative idea would be Vessery with HLC supporting Juno and a Tempest., but that lurks back around to some of the Vader-Vessery-Alozen lists I was playing with when I started.
Going a different direction:
===========
Four "Aces"
===========
99 points
------
Juno Eclipse (30)
TIE Advanced (28), TIE/x1 (0), Juke (2), Advanced Sensors (3)
“Zeta Leader” (20)
“Omega Leader” (26)
TIE/fo Fighter (21), Comm Relay (3), Juke (2)
Lieutenant Colzet (23)
TIE Advanced (23), TIE/x1 (0), Advanced Sensors (3)
------
I'm not sure if Predator is a better damage-enhancing EPT for the 2-dice attack of Juno or if Juke is useful enough for a ship w/o Comm Relay.
Lastly, I do sort of like the sensor on Colzet, grabbing a lock on another ship before anyone moves out of range...
Thoughts?

Juno doesn't need Advanced Sensors, she should have ATC and only ATC. In fact, Vader, Juno, and Stele should have ATC automatically. The TIE Advanced damage output sucks for the point cost, that's why the title and ATC were added to the game.
Clozet should have AC or FCS, AS isn't nearly as useful as either of those options.

Okay, so (after experimenting in a game with AS), I'm convinced that Juno certainly doesn't need it -- and probably half of the times I used it was to barrel roll out from facing an asteroid, which I could have avoided with better planning, probably.
And I also decided that Juke is less than ideal for Juno, 'cause she doesn't want to be spending her action on an evade.
So I bumped her up to ATC but I'm debating what to do with the final point & EPT slot.
Default would be adaptability & an initiative bid against other PS9 opponents -- I did like having the ability to choose to shoot her after Omega Leader in the game last night which adapt would preserve but VI would not.
I was also looking at Lightning reflexes, for a one-shot S-loop (an aspect of the TIE-FO dial that I find I definitely like), or calculation to get an extra crit instead of a hit (with only 2dice +1 giving each hit the chance to do the most) seems potentially worth it. Automatically Appended Next Post: Heck, even Rage could be a possibility, given how Juno + ATC isn't as reliant on actions and has a pretty wide range of maneuvers to clear stress

Lightning Reflexes, no.
Rage, no.
I like the adaptability addition you mentioned.
But the other two? Just...no.
I think you're overthinking things with those, especially Rage since it hamstrings you for two turns trying to clear stress. Leave Rage for Tycho. (Tycho + Rage + Experimental interface + Push the Limit + Title = hilarious)
