May have missed this badly.... but here goes... the move through cover rule says you get an extra D6, so 3 D6 when moving through difficult terrain. This does not however make sense in regard to a super heavy walker that can move 12" in its regular movement phase. What is the 'move through cover' rule when applied to Super Heavy Walkers? dsf

The same only you double the stronger dice roll, they had make a faq about that in escalation that super heavy double the dice.

It is in mine:

MOVEMENT AND SHOOTING
Super-heavy Walkers can move 12" in the Movement phase. If moving into or within difficult terrain, double the result of the highest dice roll when making a Difficult Terrain test - this is the maximum distance in inches that the model can move. Apart from this, they obey the movement rules for Walkers. In addition, Super-heavy Walkers cannot fire Overwatch.

Seems like the eBook version has been updated with a clarification which the print version received via the Main Rulebook FAQ.

Could be. I bought my copy of the ebook when the printed version was released. The FAQ you mentioned is for 6th Ed, by the way, which answered the Frequently Ask Question.

No. It's a 7th edition FAQ updated December 2015.

Either way, it's been this way since the first IK codex was FAQ'd, and remained so in 7th. Question was answered.

The original BRB hardpack print did not (and still doesn't) have the rule. 2 NOVA tournaments ago (2014, when 7th came out) I went to it was not this way, so people were using Thunderfire Cannons to force IKs to effectively move a maximum of 6". It wasn't until the December FAQ came out that they fixed the rule. I imagine they also fixed the ebook version with an update that would have downloaded to your ebook copy without you knowing.

I just want to clarify this for the reader so they're not confused when they can't find the rule in their BRB. They must search the FAQ or the ebook to find the rule.
