Was looking through IA13 and saw that renegades can take a baneblade as a LoW, however it does not state anything about the Stormlord variant. Outside of an apoc game, if I use a CSM CAD, can I use one? What if I ran a Renegade list as my main with a CSM ally or additional CAD?

Chaos has no way to get a Stormlord. Each army has its specific list of LoW options and Stormlord is not one of them.

There is an IG formation consisting of 1x stormlord.
IG can ally with CSM so just take that.

No there isn't a formation that is a single stormlord And IG are Come The Apoc allies with CSM so it doesn't help

Come the apocalypse isn't that big a deal but correct about the formation. He could take three though...
