The burning pits of Hades, also known as Sweden in summer

When playing Battlefleet Gothic: Armada last night, I noticed this big thing sticking out underneath the armoured prow of my Overlord Battlecruiser. Now, I assumed this was a big gun, as my Dominator Cruiser has a Nova Cannon in the same place, but both Armada and the old BFG rulebook seem to be in agreement that it is not a weapon. Which raises the question, what exactly is it?

It's an armoured ram. Because ramming is a thing in ship to ship space combat.

Opinions are not facts please don't confuse the two

the best random fact is the fact some of those ships come alive and have guns even the crew never knew existed...

Most of the time it's a ram, sometime's it's a nova cannon.

In deference to the board game, it was at least considerably difficult. Not so much the video game where you auto-ram anything you even sort of get near, including your own allies.

"'players must agree how they are going to select their armies, and if any restrictions apply to the number and type of models they can use."

This is an actual rule in the actual rulebook. Quit whining about how you can imagine someone's army touching you in a bad place and play by the actual rules.
