Lord of War:
- Wraith Knight - Ghost Glaive & Scatter Shield, 2x Star Cannons - 335
--1500
Farseers will be joining the two shuriken cannon units in order to cast guide and make up for their reduced number
of shots in comparison to the scatter lasers.
What should I add? What should I remove? Is this actually any good? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Nightwing Interceptor's are decent but I personally prefer Crimson Hunters. Personally. I would reduce the bike units to units of 3, giving you a lot more points and investing in the Crimson Death formation. I think it would be a lot more effective with their higher survivability rate from their bonuses. Smaller units also allow you to capture objectives without losing a large unit if it is enemy territory. It also makes it so that you'r opponent needs to force you to jink with multiple units instead of the ones with the max number of bikes.
In 1500 point lists, I have found that two Farseers do not make up their points value. Only one is really needed in my opinion. only during games that are 1750 or above would I be looking into that second Farseer.
I appreciate the diversity with the cannons and scatter lasers but I would just spam the scatter lasers. with the longer range and extra shot, it makes more use of your farseer's guide or prescience.
Again, with the Knight, Scatter lasers seem to be much more effective and for similar points. Unless you expect to face marines only, starcannons aren't as effective overall than the scatter lasers because of the number of wounds you are forcing.

Hmm I do like the mix of cannons and lasers, it's nice and fairly unique and certainly kills more MEQ's outside of cover - why not I say!
Now as for composition I would break most of the bike squads into 3 man units and use the second HQ choice for another CAD helping create MSU (nice little trick since 3 man units cannot be taken below 25% of their starting unit size they will never need heroic leaderships)
I'd run a Crimson Death formation myself but the Nightwings are nice little flyers, perhaps taking them in their formation would be worth while (reroll to come out of reserves if there is an enemy flyer on the board and the ability to give a weapon ignores cover is brilliant)
Wraithknight is great with Ghostglaive and Shield and it's cannons are a valuable source of AP2 in this list and would be
tempted to keep them over the standard Scatter lasers... try them out and see which is better

I would endorse the use of Nightwing Interceptors under the specific condition that your meta has a high number of FMCs that are terrifying. I've seen them do quite impressive work on Flyrants, Belakor, and the like.
However if you need only air support to, say, destroy vehicles - then I agree Crimson Hunters are more useful.

I do like the look of the formation but my only reservation on it is that they have to become a squadron and I'd quite like to keep them on their own so that they can fire at different targets if the first one kills whatever it shoots at, I have the same problem with the crimson death formation. The other reason I dont take crimson hunters is because they are more expensive so its harder to fit them in the list and personally I prefer the nightwing model as well. I probably didn't make it very clear but I'm not trying to make a competitive list here, just a strong one as many of the people I play with on a casual basis like to try and play hard as well.
However I take your point on the min size biker squads and so I have re-written the list slightly.

Looks good, I'd like some extra anti tanks but looks a lot better and not to cut throat either.
also as an aside, the Crimson Death Formation is for 3 individual flyers rather than a squadron so they can engage multiple units... in anycase I also really like the nightwings and it's always nice to see them on the table.

If I drop a farseer for an autarch, should I swap out the smaller shuriken biker unit for scatter bikes as I was going to guide them to make up for the reduced shots? Also, what would you suggest equipping the autarch with and what unit should i put him in, with the farseer?

Are you facing a lot of flyers or just like the models? If neither I would suggest swapping out the nightwings + some, for 4-6 hornets if it's AT you want.
And If you want to go more competitive then try something like this:

I do face a few flyers in my local meta but the main reason for the nightwings is because I like the look at them. I'm also not super bothered about being competitive, which was something
I said previously.
