Hi guyz,

I discovered 40k when I was 16, 3rd edition, have built up my tiny Eldar army and got destroyed by my Space Marine & Dark Eldar opponents. We had great games and painted overnight together then go to school in the morning and sleep on the desks.

Then life went on and we all stopped playing, some even selling their armies, some putting them in the basement. Till the birthday of my son May last year when my former DE opponent offered him a box of Space Marine. Haha, since then I've started again my Eldar army, bought the rules book & the codex (hey, what happened to my Eldars, they're OP today?!), got my Ork brother back into it too, got my step son into Necrons, I painted a bunch of Tactics & Assault Marines for my young son (in the future, perhaps he'll love playing like his bro, uncle & dad? ) and since last summer we're now playing 40k regularly, with some homerules and we're having lots of fun.

I stopped using 7th ed. Eldar formations though, because against Orks it's deadly, and against youngster playing Necrons it hurts too. My ~1200 pts Eldar army became ~3000, same with my Ork opponent, and we're currently improving our terrains for 40k. Switzerland is a forgotten country for GW, no shops and their online shop have crazy shipment fees. Thanks to Internet, eBay and second-hand shops, I could buy all that I needed to increase our armies.

Well, I'm now trying to take advantage of any free time to paint my army, help my sons to paint theirs and enjoying this great hobby. I've been following the French-speaking 40k forums for a while and thought this one would give me more to read from work, arf.

Looking forward to read you all, enjoy your next mini painting and your next game!

Hi,

Welcome to Dakka
