I'm battling tyranids tonight.

Typhus 230

My plan is to try and keep my forces close to team up on threats. I want to put the plague marines and typhus in the rhino. He uses warriors, termigaunts, gargoyles, and 3 big guys- the hive tyrant, the flying hive tyrant dude and the big dude with the assault 20 arm guns. Please help with unit choices and strategy. I think it will be purge the alien.

Typhus: Ok choice, kind of pricey, especially for 1k but if you want zombies that's how you get zombies!

CSM: Heavy Bolter & Meltagun in same squad? Not really very useful. I'd just drop the heavy bolter and get a combi-on the champ. If this list is specifically tailored for Tyranids then Plasma will be better than Meltaguns.

Additionally, with no transport these guys are kind of meh. You might be better off adding more zombies or another squad of Plague Marines. Really need a rhino in any case.

Plague Marines: I'd drop a Plague Marine to get a 2nd Plasma Gun on the squad.

Zombies: Would be worth trying to fit more in if you can find points elsewhere.

Heldrake: Good.

Raptors: Raptors are meh, but to each his own. Once again, if you're list tailoring for Tyranids then go Plasma or Flamer. I'd put 2 flamers in the squad.

Unfortunately Typhus has terminator armour on so can't ride in Rhinos.

Probably better but you can buy 2 plasma guns on plague marines so worth doing. Defilers are pretty bad but can be fun, id try and squeeze in a couple of maulerfiends instead maybe by dropping an obliterator.

Give the chaos lord a power fist and a sigil of corruption and mark of nurgle if you want him in a rhino id say.
