Do all dreadnoughts have base 4 or just GW chosen few?

Hey guys,

I'm wondering if the intention for for making dreadnoughts base attacks 4, apply to all not just vanilla and dark angel dreadnoughts.

I also want to know if that's the case how that even makes sense, because in essence all dreadnoughts are veteran warriors and 12/12/10 3hp at the end of the day

It only applies to Dreadnoughts with 4 attacks in their profile.

It makes sense because SM are the special flowers and DA just got copy pasted.

As Codexes are updated, expect all other Dreads to be brought into line.

But for now, or until an Errata / FAQ from GW, some dreads are more equal than others.

Be grateful, Helbrutes have 2 attacks and sometimes if you pop a krak grenade on them in close combat they get so angry the stand still and let you hit their back armour for a turn.

It’s one problem with GW’s rules release system. If there are similar things across multiple books, once they update one, the rest get left in the dust until their time comes. Only very rarely will they print an update at a stop gap.

That is partly due to the release system and and partly due to having 4 Factions that all use the same models, and have a large number of the same units, and another Faction that is mostly the same, but is the eeeeeviel version of it with a lot of "subtle" variation.

Ork can have 4 if you pay a ton extra points for it.
Most of them are just stuck with a lower number.
