I'm trying to build up a Nurgle zombie army(I'm using other factions as zombies to stray away from the common zombie guard like DE, possibly might add tau or orks). I've seen familiars used in games but have never really known their purpose except for little effects on the HQ that they're with. Could anyone help explain what they are used for and what effects they have? I may be interested in making a tiny little zombie fora count-as Typhus :3

For CSM, the familiars are available are either a Combat Familiar (two extra attacks at S4, not particularly useful), or a Spell Familiar (reroll psychic tests, actually pretty nice).

However, as Typhus is a special character and therefore has predefined wargear, he can't take a familiar.
