So I recently bought a bunch from my flgs that was going out of business. Only have played the first scenario but was going to do some building this weekend. I have two boxes of orcs on fell wargs. I see some have options for bows and some for knives. Is the load out purely asthetic. I thought in the starter rules it said they get bow the melee and ranged or so I have that wrong. If I'm wrong how many ranged should I make?

In terms of building army lists, Hunter Orcs come with just Armour as standard and need to pay points to upgrade to being on a Fell Warg and more points to be equipped with bows.

If it's just a scenario you are playing, where it indicated "x number of Hunter Orcs on Fell Wargs", I'd say it's up to you what mix you give it. Generally a in points match games, no more than 1/3 of your warrior models can have bows, so for your 12 Hunter Orcs on Fell Wargs I'd give 4 of them bows.
