Subject: Whats the best SM army right now?

Drop Trooper with Demo Charge

I've been wanting to start a second army, and I'm thinking SM with Knights allied. I had wanted to do BA but I noticed the thread that ranked them of the worst lists period. So now I'm not sure if I should pick them up at all. Any suggestions?

WS are super broke. Ignores Cover Relic+ Hit&Running Grav Cent stars+ good bike stars make them one of the best bases for an SM superfriends army.

And White Scars are also the best Gladius. Scout and Hit and Run are op, clearly.
Edit: the only thing they get beat at is Drop Pods, which Ultramarine Skyhammers do better.

Things might be different after Angels of Death hits. But White Scars are hard to top.

Yes, but don't bother buying Damocles, just get the Angels of Death supplement coming out.

Indeed. The upcoming supplement contains the damocles WS and RG in addition to renewed IH (clan rakkun with formations), renewed IF (guardians of terra with formations), brand new salamanders and hinted (but unconfirmed) black templar

BA are pretty bad, unless its a 100% Walker list
