'Murica! (again)

This was an amazingly fun event this weekend. We had 19 players in AoS portion, 9th Age had 19 or 20 (maybe with Ringer). 40K obviously was huge and WMH was around 16.

Anyway...on to the important stuff!
Skaven won, brutal shooting and good list but not at all what I would call unfair. Freidrik from Stockholm won and we played round one and did an interview so he talks about his army, game and comp systems opinions in ep 140 Combat Phase podcast up tonight later. He can explain it better than I. Chaos and Death also placed in the top.
My all-Fyreslayer army did surprisingly well and I learned a lot of tactics from this. I expected 5 20-0 losses and won 3 games. No formations. Talking tactics with apparently the other two guys on the Internet who play Fyreslayers But SCGT reported two GA Order armies using some Fyreslayers.

Great event, clash comp did well but now is gone in favor for SGCT comp here.

I heard it was a great and very friendly event from my Khorne-playing friend who ended up as the runner-up. I wish I could have gone as well, but alas, it was not to be this time.

Yeah, both his other two armies in play looked amazing as well. But. 20 hour train ride home...bummer. He's a trooper!

Really wanted to go, sadly I didn't have a painted army... and I won't have time to paint one for the fall event either, so I will have to go with my 40k Eldar for that one. Hopefully I'll be able to play AoS next spring ;D
