So i have heard this rumor, and my GW store owner even told me it, want to see if anyone can confirm or dig up some proof.

The rumor is that, the Artificer brushes are actual W&N brushes just relabled as GW.

Can anyone confirm or deny this?

To many unpainted models to count.

We don't know for sure. Rick Priestly confirmed at times in the past GW have gotten W&N series 7 brushes.

But we don't know if this is the case this time, it might be, but Rick hasn't worked for GW for over 5 years.

I doubt your local GW manager knows and is probably just going based off the same knowledge the rest of us have.
