Just wondered if anyone knew, outside of The Emperor and Malcador, who the first Librarian was?

Relatedly, any idea when the first Librarian model was released, or the Librarius was first introduced in to the lore?

The Librarius was founded during the great crusade under the joint proposal of the Primarchs Magnus the Red Jagtai Khan, and Sanguinus IIRC.

Opinions are not facts please don't confuse the two

Bang on, I was just wondering if there was any fluff for the first guy through the door instead of who championed it's inception?

The majority of the 1K Sons would have finally had a name for what they were as soon as the term Librarians came about. So it would have been a near thousand way tie (except for those pesky Rubric marines)

Nothing to see here, move along mortal.

this, before the Librarus, several Legions already had psykers, this just formalized the process. yet we know white scars, 1k sons and space wolves likely all had active trained psykers before asking who was the first Librarian is proably like asking who was the first codex space marine.

FYI neither the Emperor nor Malcador were "librarians"

that's a marine term for psykers within the legions

Ahriman is Chief Librarian of the Legion which invented Librarians. Safe to say it's him. He is a Terran and was there at the legion's inception. It never mentions him taking anyone's place either so he's our best guess really.
