Hi guys.

I am building a small KDK army and flesh hounds seem to be a "must have". But they are really expensive as you have to field at least 10-15... and IMO they are quite ugly. So I am looking for cool "wolfish" minis to play them as proxies. They can be from any game system or company...

Somebody have an idea?

Thanks !

Plastic, 10 in a box, and by GW to boot.

For thirteen years I had a dog with fur the darkest black. For thirteen years he was my friend, oh how I want him back.

Chaos Warhounds are still available. I've got about 25 for my Flesh Hounds. Probably saved myself about £120 by not buying the official ones.

I've been looking to get some Flesh Hounds too - are the warhounds approximately the same size?

Bear in mind they are resin, not metal or plastic and the GW plastic crack-hounds are probably cheaper.

But each to their own.

Previous edition here; you can generally get them for a low cost, as they don't match with Karanak and most people want a matching setup.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

I got five of those on eBay for $25 last year. I think those models are better than the current ones myself.

My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/7/24, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~16000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Imperial Knights: ~2300 | Leagues of Votann: ~1300 | Tyranids: ~3400 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000 | Kruleboyz: ~3500 | Lumineth Realm-Lords: ~700

These hands down. I own 40 and they're amazing. Once I accidentally snapped off the horns and had to greenstuff over it so it looked like fur. However, this made them look 10x better, so now that's my go to. I found the horns cumbersome and awkward.
