Just thought of this DEADLY tactic with Death Company
You will need...
WD 374
2x Death Company Dreadnoughts with Drop pods
Astorath
A Chaplain
3x Death Company Squads
Lemartes

Tactic
Open up WD 374 to find the 'Death Company' Formation, this gives you a special rule called 'Bloodrage', this allows ALL of your units to attack again if they cause an unsaved wound in CC
(Now on to the "Meat Grinder" squad)
take one of the DC squads and kit them out with 15 men, Jump packs, Bolt pistols and Power Weapons (power sword mostly)
Stick Astorath in the squad

You now have a CC unit where each model has 5 AP3 attacks each that Reroll to hit AND Reroll to wound in the first round of combat!
And if you cause an unsaved wound, you make EVEN MORE AP3 attacks that reroll to hit and reroll to wound! (and if you cause unsaved wounds with those attacks, YOU CAN ATTACK AGAIN, AND AGAIN, AND AGAIN)

Would that even be valid still? That issue was from 2011, out-dating the current codex.

UK.

Don't think this applies anymore. Furioso Dreanoughts used to get this when they assaulted. I've heard of 1 Furioso taking out 100 Orks in CC because of this.

I'd love to try it, but it whiffs of cheese.

It doesn't seem right to me. Definitely whiffs of cheese. It sounds like one of those things someone interprets wrong because of the wording.

I certainly wouldn't play someone who pulled out a crumpled old magazine from 5 years ago and points to it saying "SEE!"

Star Trek taught me so much. Like, how you should accept people, whether they be black, white, Klingon or even female...
