I wanted to hear if anyone has any experiences using this Formation and to share some insights I have observed from the main rules about Nurglings.

So first off, Nurglings are pretty awesome as long as they have either Objective Secured from a CAD, or Daemonic Corruption from the Incursion. 12 wounds with Shroud for fewer points than 3 Space Marines? Yes Please. Infiltrate these bad boys and laugh anytime someone shoots at them. Even if they have ignores cover or can Insta-kill them, they will have dedicated at least twice the points to do so, often many time the Nurglings worth.

Two things that I feel people forget about Nurglings.
1) Swarms are never slowed by terrain, meaning you always move 6" and never suffer the -2" for charging. While they may only move 6", combined with Infiltrate the movement starts to add up.
2) Defensive Grenades. All Daemons of Nurgle count as having these. The important part people forget is that you can throw them and potentially Blind enemies. Yes, that's right, Nurglings throw their poo and other nasty bits at you. If you have 6-7 units of these guys, eventually something is gonna fail a Blind test.

Enter the Tally Band buffs:
So combine the never slowed by terrain with never being overwatched and Nurglings start to really get annoying for the enemy. Put the Doomsday bell on your Herald and they might fail more LD tests to become -1S & -1T from the Formation bonus.

Agreed. A cheap nurgling tallyband is one of the best uses of the formation. You get enough models to invest (infest?) any midfield and backfield objectives, and with a Greater Locus Of Fecundity, you give most of the swarms Feel No Pain (5+) to boot.

The 'no overwatch' isn't too amazing just because I'm not convinced they have any real business attacking, but dig them into cover on an objective and unless your opponent has access to sizeable amounts of Ignores Cover S6+ weapons, it'll take a hell of a lot of fire to dig them out again.

A minimum sized tallyband - Herald of Nurgle, 7x3 Nurglings, a Greater Locus and The Doomsday Bell fits in under 1/3 of most normal armies - giving you plenty of space for a much more aggressive Rotswarm to take the fight to the enemy.

I will personally be fielding 1 Plaguebearer unit and 6 Nurgling units, just so that my Herald has a unit to deploy with (Infiltrators must infiltrate after all).

What I like the most about Nurglings is how they function like they should in the fluff. Tiny individuals that don't do much, but when in mass, they make a big difference. They have so many little "meh" rules that they should almost always do something if used right.

I also really want to blind some Necrons & Tau with Nurgle poo.
