I know the game is gone, but I have been trying to scrape up the last remains without destroying my budget.
I think the last hold out is with forces of destruction.
Does anyone have a good guess as to when the fantasy centric models for destruction will begin to sell out?
If so, which models do you think will get the ax?
The one model I want before it's gone is Greasus.
Mostly because his AOS rules are hilarious for trolling people.

Grand Alliance Destruction cannot be far away - I would guess a month or two after the Ironjaw release. As to what will be on the chopping block, my guesses are as follows:

Anything Black Orc related (as these are being replaced by the Ironjaw).
Azhag and the Warboss on Wyvern.
Ruglads armoured Orcs.
All the "themed" Ogre Maneaters.
Yhetis.
Generic trolls.
All goblins that are not either night gobbos or spider gobbos.
All the warmachines (I have noticed there aren't many warmachines left in the range now - only 15). Except the pump wagon maybe (too classic).
Gnoblars.
Orc Arrer Boyz.
Lots of special characters, but not all. Some will remain as generic heroes.

I would have also put my money on generic Orc boyz, but I can't see a Start Collecting set being discontinued so soon.

As to when you think all traces of fantasy will be gone from the range - as in every model that came out before AoS. Well I would say probably about 20 years. (It's gonna be a long time before the Nagash model needs to be updated).

There's no predicting at all. If there's something you want then buy it now (from eBay).

For most of the old Fantasy stuff, if the mould gets damaged I doubt they'd get replaced. Some may already be in stock run-down mode.

If you want Greasus, get him now. I can guarantee he'll go.
I would expect similar for the butcher with the cauldron.

Bragg the gutsman may stay, but he'll become generic tyrant/?bruiser weapon option.

On the plus side, GW have just announced a second last chance to get some of the stuff currently going OOP. I think probably it applies to the most popular items only, but it's a step forwards from what happened before.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

Depends on when the Grand Alliance: Destruction is going to drop. Usually the Friday before the release they go up on Last Chance to Buy so it is best to get what you need now.

I know I will

Well since GW is still selling 8th edition Fantasy still on iPad at least, I guess it's not "officially" dead yet.

Maybe once they stop selling 8th edition online, then I guess it will be officially dead.

Agies Grimm:The "Learn to play, bro" mentality is mostly just a way for someone to try to shame you by implying that their metaphorical nerd-wiener is bigger than yours. Which, ironically, I think nerds do even more vehemently than jocks.

Everything is made up and the points don't matter. 40K or Who's Line is it Anyway?

I'm anxiously waiting for Greasus and a few maneater models to be back in stock...
My wife is gonna kill me.
She doesn't understand that this is my last chance to fulfill my dreams!!

Just got mine! Now I have the ninja, pirate, and arabian ogres for a small man eater unit. Although it looks like they will not get the axe after all... I decided against getting Greasus.

The cuts were surprisingly sparse. Look how wrong I was about most of it! Haha
