So I was wondering if anybody has info on who the original 8 legionaries chosen by Malcador were?

I know of:

Nathaniel Garro - Death guard
Garviel Loken - Sons of Horus
Macer Varren - World Eaters

Ive also heard speculation that Sevetar was one as well but idk if it's just a rumor.

Considering none of those three are Psykers, I doubt they are the original eight.

My bets for three of them would be Tylos Rubio, Ison and Sevetar (should he actually be alive and end up recruited).

I'm under the impression Loken and Garro helped form the Inquisition to root out heresy after having so much unique experience with it. Ordo Hereticus?

As for the Grey Knights founding 8, I expect it's Aquaman, Batman, the Flash, Green Lantern, the Martian Manhunter, Superman, Wonder Woman and Alpharius. I don't think it was ever actually discussed on purpose to leave it as a mystery

Ha very clever Wulfmar! That's probably who it was. Makes sense why they're all Mary Sue's

You're forgetting Omegon.

Or maybe it was Alpharius?

Garro and Loken are the first Inquisitors, not Grey Knights.

I really doubt Sevetar could be one of them. He coined the phrase "Death to the False Emperor!" after all. And he's a Night Lord to his core. I don't really see how he could become a Grey Knight, much less one of the founders. 40k isn't really that big on redemption.

And the Angels of Darkness descended on pinions of fire and light... the great and terrible dark angels.
He was not the golden lord. The Emperor will carry us to the stars, but never beyond them. My dreams will be lies, if a golden lord does not rise.

I look to the stars now, with the old scrolls burning runes across my memory. And I see my own hands as I write these words. Erebus and Kor Phaeron speak the truth.

My hands. They, too, are golden.

James Swallow has said that Garro is not a Grey Knight. I think that Garro, Loken and the like went on to help with the founding of the Grey Knights, if they survive the Heresy, and are tasked by Malcador to train up the new recruits. So I guess they are part of the founding but aren't part of the actual Grey Knights, if that makes sense?

In All That Remains

Spoiler:
There is a ship where there is a Thousand Sons marine taking Imperial Soldiers with latent psychic abilities to Saturn.

In Flight of the Eisenstein there is a part in it where Garro seems to share an ability much like Zahariel does in Fallen Angels. It might just be coincidence though and not psychic at all.

Hmm, I heard the same thing about Sevetar as well, but isn't it present when M'shen kills Curze or does it mention that he is missing or has gone missing? I think it's in Soul Hunter.

A lot of people think Omegon is going to be Janus, the first Supreme Grand Master.

1.) Omegon seems to be fething over Alpharius and the traitors with various schemes (i.e. basically manipulating the White Scars into joining the loyalists)

2.) He has a grey armor that is hidden, similar to that of the Knights-Errant

3.) Janus is the two headed God, etc..

Where ever the Emperor needs his eyes

I believe there is a short story taking place after Sevatar is captured that hints at his change of heart and allegiance pushing him back to being an Agent of Justice. He is also claimed to be dead in the Night Lords trilogy, but there are also characters that believe him to still be alive. If he were recruited to the Knight Errants at some point in the Heresy it would most certainly seem to those unaware that he was dead now.

Speaking of candidates for the Grey Knights original 8 Masters, another possibility is the Former VIIIth Legion Chief Librarian Fel Zharost.

What exactly did that Sevatar story say to hint that?

When he escapes and murders a guy that was oppressive and cruel to an Astropath, before surrendering himself back to the Dark Angels. Its kinda different from escaping to murder lots of people and escape the DA to continue the war against the Emperor. Also he straight up calls himself an Agent of Justice.

That was my point!

Our good pal Abaddon hints at this as well!

Wow, that would be one of the coolest plot twists if that's how it actually plays out. Mindblown.
