I'm thinking about using different colors for Lord Celestant Vandus Hammerhand's mount.

I hate the blue color recommended so I'd like to try to paint it in Green for the scales and legs part and then a couple of wet blended browns for the belly part.

My thoughts are using Waaagh! Flesh as the Green base coat and then using XV-88 as the first Brown color wet blended into the Green and then Zandri Dust as the lighter Brown color wet blended into the XV-88.

All of that then washed with Agrax Earthshade and a final dry brush of Straken Green.

I've never done anything like this, but would like some feedback on the color blends and if anyone has either tried this or if they think the colors will go together well.

Thanks for any help.

If you go down the drybrush route i recommend to wash first then drybrush again with the original color to clean it up. Then a lighter drybrush. Camoshade is a very nice wash for green. I wouldnt go Agrax on everything.
