Just wondering if anyone has heard anything about an inquistion update coming in the next few months, or would it likely be safe to buy the e-book or whatever. (Looking at putting together the 597th Vahallan's with Amberley as well. . .)

News and rumors is for news and rumors, not questions about them (literally it's not allowed to create a thread to ask a question, not being snarky). If anyone knew anything you wouldn't need to ask - so the answer is no based on lack of an already existing thread on it.

Moving to 40k general.
If we could avoid starting threads like this in news/rumours would be appreciated.
Generally if there is any news there will be a thread.

Sorry about that, I was looking around after a 12+ hr shift. :-p
I wanted to avoid buying the e-book and then BAM...new stuff.

Generally the digital codex get updated for free when a codex gets an update, so you should be okay to buy it if that is your concern. As far as the release, well I haven't heard anything about an upcoming Inquisition update.
