Hey guys. So I have a little problem here, I have some rather top-heavy metal minis on square bases, and I'm trying to weigh the bases down. All the suggestions I can find around online are for circular bases, such as nickels, washers, etc. but none of those things really work here. To make matters worse, they're all slotted bases. I tried lining the underside with tiny metal BBs, that didn't quite work, I even tried melting pot metal into the empty spaces on the underside, but it warped the bases. Does anyone have any suggestions? I just need these guys not to tip over immediately on any kind of incline.

Small lead fishing weights and/or BBs held in place with epoxy.

I'm not sure about the sand thing... BBs didn't work, they were too large. I'll have to look into fishing weights. Thanks for the suggestions.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
All fishing weights I found at the sporting goods store were too large, even on a non-slotted base they wouldn't fit because they were too tall. I've decided I may have to remove them all from the slotted bases, cut the stands off and put them on regular ones. They should make washers small enough for this, I think.

This would be my suggestion. If the size isn't right, you can smash them to the correct thickness with a hammer or large pliers and snip them to shape if necessary. I've put many of these under the bottoms of top or side-heavy metal models.

If you're going to do this alot, maybe head to your local gun store and buy a bag of small shotgun shot? You can fill the bottom of the base with shot and then squirt in some epoxy or rubberized superglue.
