Is there question you had?

H.B.M.C.- The end hath come! From now on armies will only consist of Astorath, Land Speeder Storms and Soul Grinders!

They are space marines. Learn to paint on them before you throw yourself into the hobby. A lot of people don't like painting, and thus it's a turnoff. No point in spending a lot of money on something you're just going to ignore.

Still not sure what the question is, and this isn't an appropriate forum to rant.

I think what they are trying to say, is that instead of getting the multi-piece, Assault Marine kit, they got the box with three single pose Tactical Marines.

No, they are not badly molded, they're meant to be like that, like the description says, they're designed to fill out squads, test colour schemes and for beginners to try their skills on.
These models have been specially designed to push-fit together and do not require glue for assembly. Ideal for adding additional models to a unit or for trying out new colour schemes, these are especially suitable for those new to modelling.

For the Emperor and Sanguinius!

Look around if somebody has spare parts, i bought about 50 snapfit marines and im busy converting them, its hard. But uf you learn how ti convert snapfit models you will be able to do great stuff with more complex models

Soooo, what exactly is preventing you from returning them from where your brother got them from OP?

If they're still sealed. You're good to go. If he got them from a GW; if they're open, in my experience, tell them the situation (got an Orc Orruk instead of an Ork. No problem) and they more than likely swap them.

Worst come to worse, you can use them for what is suggested in this thread or just chop their heads off and replace them with one of the many hundreds out there for pose variety.

I would give anything to have my first ork set in my hands untouched. Keep your head up, man. You're first set is a learner, so maybe a gakky set is the best start. You're brother is doing you a favor and if you'd like I can show my progression from year 0 to year 1 if you want proof. All the best luck,

Trust me, no matter what damage they have the potential to do, single-shot weapons always flatter to deceive in 40k.                                                                                                       Rule #1

GW has pretty good customer service. Nothing wrong with what you got though. If you paint well they'll look good too.

The three-man pack was my very first entry into the hobby. It helped me figure out exactly how I wanted to paint my miniatures before I delved too far into things. Absolutely a worthwhile purchase.

Not to mention, it isn't like they are worthless. You can still use them in any Tactical Squad.

Honestly, the snapfits are a great way to start the hobby if your main intent is to play the game. The first thing I bought was the Dark vengeance starter set. All the models in there are snapfit, but just about everyone and their mother agrees it's a great value package.
If your main intent is building and converting, then I can definitely see why you're dissapointed. If it was your money, then even more so.
However, your brother probably just cares about you. He wanted you to have fun and he thought maybe you wouldn't be having fun with the more complicated to assemble models because they would be more frustrating.

Maybe you should be considerate of how your brother was feeling and why he tought it was better to buy the snapfit models.

You don't have to be happy when you lose, just don't make winning the condition of your happiness.

Or your brother was shocked at the price of everything when he went in and thought, "Tactical squad, £25! WTF, I don't like my brother that much, is there anything cheaper."
:Asks Shopkeeper:
"Aha, so they're still Space Marines but only £6 That sounds more reasonable."

Mixing a few packs of those snapfits in amongst your other Marines when you get them is great and will save you a few £££ in the long run.

How old is your brother? Maybe his spending money is going towards girls, or he is saving up for a car or college or an apartment to move away from an ungrateful little

Maybe.

You got a gift. Gifts are great, don't be mad because he did not got you the expensive gift.

Also Snap fit marines are just as good as expensive marines in the game. The only thing that makes them look bad is if you paint them badly but so do the expensive ones.

If you gave him the money then remember to ask for your change! If he paid for them then paint them and appreciate them.

Did you give your brother the money to buy said Tactical Squad? If answer is Yes - get your change, go back to the store, explain the situation and with the change and box get your Tactical Squad.

If answer is no and this is a gift perhaps try to understand that people with zero interest in the hobby and zero desire to have a pot of paint and an Ork Stompa pushed on them will generally go with what's suggested and call it a day. If you're quite young then chances are the GW staffer will have asked about the situation (i.e. if you're just starting up) and suggested the snap-fits as a cheaper, easier way in.

Also, try not to be a little git about gifts. Smile, nod, realise that your brother is perhaps not the best person to send out, say thank you and move on with life instead of bemoaning his existence.
