I need help clarifying what can take a Legacy of Ruin, as IA13 says no Daemon Engines, vehicles with Daemonic Possession upgrade, or Daemonic Resilience upgrade can take any of the listed LoR does this mean that a Knight or Warhound that has taken a Mark cannot take a LoR as well? A mark makes both gain the Daemon special rule however, the rules do not state that a vehicle that has taken the Mark upgrade cannot take a LoR, and explicitly states the following cannot take one, Defiler, Maulerfiends, Forgefiends, Heldrakes, Lord of Skulls, Blood Slaughterers, Brass Scorpions ect.
Thoughts?
Here is what IA says,
"Because they are already dominated by a fell being of the Warp whose own desires define their essential character, Daemon Engines as well as any vehicle with the Daemonic Possession vehicle upgrade or the Daemonic Resilience special rule may not take LoR." IA13 p. 187

I was going to post it there, but my reasons for putting it in GD is that; I am looking for answers that pertain to the new Knight Renegade release, this question is less about multiple rules conflicting and more about me not understanding them, and this forum sees more traffic.

Those knights are not of the CSM faction. If you want to pull off this trick you should take a look at the FW knights. Automatically Appended Next Post: These ones

Yay, looted Knights as Allies of Convenience for my Orks!
Indeed, they count as units from the CSM faction.
Based on the thread from News & Rumors they (the Renegade Knights) are part of the CSM faction

here is printed proof that this is not true. They are their own faction
Automatically Appended Next Post: They might Ally like CSM but this doesn't make them CSM. Just look up their symbol at the datasheet it isn't the CSM one.

The 'etc' at the end tells you it's not an exclusive list. Basically you have to decide if a knight with the daemon upgrade counts as a 'daemon engine', which isn't defined in the rules. YMMV
