Spent about 18 hours over the last two weeks working on this guy. It's a gigantic model and with the amount of detail on it I could have easily spent months, it has a ton of things to practice on. I learned a lot from working on it
and by the end of it I'm pretty sure I improved on a few things. Three years in to painting and this is my first model where I feel like I've progressed. (With a lot further to go)

I dont like how my camera kicked up the exposure on these pics, but these are the unedited ones.

There's something about this paintjob, the darkness, the earthy tones, the grittier aesthetic, that makes me really love this model. Previously, I'd found it too goofy and over the top to enjoy it, but you've changed that

Which is pretty significant, so well done indeed, mate.

You've really done a magnificent job, lechine. As others have said you've actually made the model look less cartoony & more gritty, which is always good in my opinion.

Oh, and finishing him to that standard in two weeks is absolutely ri-dic!

Hey thanks, I do tend to go darker and more flesh toned on my stuff, Im glad its noticed.

It was two weeks, but I was also doing two commissions so I actually got a lot of work done, considering I still have a full time job.

Utterly top notch. Loved the muted feel of it.

Excellent work indeed! The scorched grass is spot on thematically and Dhorgar's breastplate is superb - my favourite part of the your work!

The paintjob is fantastic, but what really drew my attention
was the scorched grass. Very nice touch.

Thanks guys, it was fun to do and was actually able to let my daughter help with most of it (the base that is), hopefully she'll be in to painting when she grows up.
