Hello everyone. After many years of reading up on the WH40K Universe (20+ novels, Dawn of War 1&2 on PC) I finally broke down and picked up the Dark Vengeance Set. I don't really want to focus on a Chaos or Space Marine Army, so I've only painted about a quarter of them... with only a handful of that finished. I'm a big fan of the fluff, and am looking to start an Ork Army (or IG) here in the next month or so that could be played against my boys who would be using the Dark Vengeance models. I've already learned a lot from the forums and look forward to getting into the game. I'm currently living in California, and have already visited my local GW and Local Gaming Store. I originally thought about getting into Tau, but I feel like I could learn more about the game from fielding an Ork Army. Happy Hunting!

Welcome to Dakka

Welcome to the war. Also, look up the Ultimate Apocalypse mod for dawn of War. Its fething amazing.

"At the point in time when bullets can pass through the interdimensional walls. When firepower takes up the entirety and eternity of space and time, all beings stuck in a neverending life and death cycle as bullets recover and destroy their bodies in quick succession. No one is able to think about anything but the sheer force of the bullets rapidly flying literally everywhere in the materium turning the warp itself into nothing but a sea of semi-automatic weaponry.. Then there will be enough dakka. Or, at least almost." -The Glorious God Emperor of Mankind

Welcome! Orks and IG are both tons of fun and full of character. Lots of room for customization, etc.

Active armies, still collecting and painting First and greatest love - Orks, Orks, and more Orks largest pile of shame, so many tanks unassembled most complete and painted beautiful models, couldn't resist the swarm will consume all
Armies in disrepair: nothing new since 5th edition oh how I want to revive, but mostly old fantasy demons and some glorious Soul Grinders in need of love
