well its much cooler than the metal model i think.And its easier to re-convert if you want to re-do also,no?
I would like to see how it comes out painted since it doesnt have the pack and the belt.Could be interesting.

Edit->i just noticed,but is the bolter shorter?I read somewhere (WIP forum was it?) that you used a scout Hvy. bolter but i didnt know it was shorter though...

Now i know it he is holding it to high it just looks like it has no weight. Okay I konw SM are superhumans and they can do it but it strikes me.

Agree with S-J. If you're going to keep it that high, it really should have some kind of suspensor mechanism or something. And maybe some extra ammo pouches, 'cause he's gonna burn through that box pretty quick...

Love your work guy I made a marine with a plastic Hvy bolter too But it was an older over the shoulder one.

Did you guys consider maybe the battle brother is 'hefting' it for a kill shot?

I also worry about not enough ammo for my marines but I figured it would look bitsy and cluttered if I started sticking even more crap on them.

About Not Enough Ammo

My army is Black Templars

They are a CC army, I built this as a support weapon in case the squad he was in didn't move, it would just add a bit of extra fire.

If he was on the move a lot I don't think he would need a lot of ammo.

Hence small ammo Magazine. (Lighter)

Shorter Bolter

Yes, the Bolter is from a Scout box set, It has had the back end cliped off.

Arm Position

I have had people say that it looks like he is lifting it over a low wall and other people say he is lifting to shoot a bigger target.

This was a test model anyway to see if it worked for me. I think it has

good job.

I hate to say it, but looking at that model and its pose, I am afraid I think a flat piece of rock with a slant going up would suit it perfectly - I know,, I know EVERY one uses rock. I think it the model pose looks quite heroic and  can just imagine him stood on an elevated out crop of rock laying down HB firing to support his battle brothers, and then running down a slope and caving in an orks head with a swing of the heavy bolter.

Maybe to change have him stood on a fall tree trunk. Just and idea.
