Lets take a Vaul's wrath artillery peice as an example. A gun and 2 crew.

Let's say I move the cannon forward 6" along with the two crewmembers. Im arguing that the crewmember who is not carrying the gun would then be able to fire it (without snapfiring) in the shooting phase.

" If a model carrying a Heavy weapon moved in the preceding Movement phase, he can fire it in the Shooting phase but only as Snap Shots."

As I read it only the actual model carrying the heavy gun is affected by the snapshot restriction. And there is no mention that the gun itself would be affected by moving either.

Would this be an correct interpretation?

The gun model is the model carrying the gun.

It moved.

"'players must agree how they are going to select their armies, and if any restrictions apply to the number and type of models they can use."

This is an actual rule in the actual rulebook. Quit whining about how you can imagine someone's army touching you in a bad place and play by the actual rules.

When people ask, "What's the point in understanding everything?" they've just disqualified themselves from using questions and should disappear in a puff of paradox. But they don't understand and just continue existing, which are also their only two strategies for life.

Sure but it doesnt have to be the model firing the gun. "One crewman that is within 2" of a gun in the Shooting phase can fire it."

And since that model didnt carry a heavy weapon in the movementphase I cant see why it would be forced to fire snapshots.

I think if the gun moves.... it moves. Orks get around this by adding a mega armored IC to a unit of Mek Guns granting "slow and purposeful."
