I would probably have something more like this:
S - Rank
Chaos Lord
Flesh Hounds
Chaos Bikers
A - Rank
Heldrake
Soul Grinder
Maulerfiend
D-thirster
Herald
Bloodletters
B - Rank
Daemon Prince
Wrath of Khorne Bloodthirster
Cultists
Spawn
Raptors
Skull Cannon
C - Rank
Regular Bloodthirster
Helbrute
Skulltaker
Chaos Space Marines
Chaos Terminators
D - Rank
Berserkers
Forgefiend
Possessed
Lord of Skulls
Chaos Land Raider
Blood Throne
E - Rank
Warp Talons
Bloodcrushers
Defiler
There is no way in hell I'd field a Defiler, ever. Not until it gets better rules/stats. I love Warp Talons (mostly for the models), but I realize that they are so, so bad. Same with Bloodcrushers, although I almost put them in D rank, mostly because of the formation with them. I rank Cultists in B rank because they are a cheap way to fill out the troop tax and I've had mine do some things that they should never have been able to do (like tie up a SM tactical squad for almost an entire game!). Chaos Lord is possibly the best thing in the book because he is such a swiss army knife (he is the only character in the book who can choose from all of the artifacts of slaughter). Hounds and Bikers are amazing mostly because of the formation, but also because they do what Daemonkin armies need to do well: get in the opponent's face and kill stuff early on.

why chaos lord S rank and Thirster A? i found D thirster being a real big treath depend what list you play, in a very aggressive style list with lot of hounds or with a chaos knight, i prefer Thirster, hard an opponet can focus on him if 30-40 hounds+knight+thirster running toward him.

D thirster is unfortunately fragile. I've had him die to 2 squads of vanilla marines, each with a single plasma gun. :(
The Defiler, while absurdly expensive, is playable at least. I don't know if the blood throne is better tha it or not. I like the rest of your list though! I totally forgot about cultists, my bad.
Not sure if I'd have the Herald so high. It's just sort of ineffective against most threats.
As far as the Lord vs. Flesh Hounds, they're both amazing. I put the hounds first just because I think they're an auto include in every daemonkin army. That first line of assault and quick engagement is so crucial to tie up enemy shooting. Bikers don't have quite the staying power they do. The Lord is a close second, being the main source of punch behind an assault.

I didn't put them in any particular order within the tiers in my list. I just listed what I thought was in each tier. I definitely feel like the Chaos Lord belongs in a higher tier than any of the 'thirsters because he is much easier to protect and much more versatile. I ranked Heralds high not because of how powerful they themselves are, but rather for the buffs and combos. A Herald with the Hatred locus can turn a blob of Flesh Hounds into a true deathstar. Of course, deathstars are not really an ideal strategy with Daemonkin due to the Blood Tithe rule favoring MSU, but it is an option. To me, the only thing that keeps Heralds from being S-rank is their lack of any way to get AP2. In Codex: Chaos Daemons they can get an Axe of Khorne as a Lesser Reward, but unfortunately they can't take one even at the inflated price in the Daemonkin book.

I have some Chaos Space Marines from the Dark Vengeance box of somewhat old. If I took the Chaos models from that, bought a Start Collecting! Daemons of Khorne box with the Khorne Daemonkin book, would I be able to field all those models as one detachment from the Khirne Daemonkin book?

I am the kinda ork that takes his own washing machine apart, puts new bearings in it, then puts it back together, and it still works. |

Do you mean one of each unit.. or like the best ones?
Heralds just seem to lack good defense and are far more limited in options when compared to the Chaos Lord. It also has one less wound than the lord, which is massive. It gains initiative, WS, and BS in return. The BS is pointless practically. The WS boost of +1 does little. And the initiative is the best part, but not worth the limitations. Best part about him is his cost and decent killing power.

Based on how I run my army:
A
Bloodthirster(almost always take as low)
Fleshounds
Chaos bikes
Rhino (XD but really)
Soul grinder
Lord
B
DP
Letters+banner
Heldrake
Maulerfiend
Cultists for troop tax
C
Csm (taken out of obligation most games)
Skullcannon (why isnt this a war engine for the slaughtercult)
Helbrute
Raptors
Skulltaker(needs more wounds and ap2)
D
Bezerkers
Defiler
Forgefiend
Terminators
Warp talons
Blood throne
D-thirster(w/o psyker support)
Herald
Possesed
The only reason I ever take a Herald is to join some rapier batteries so they can get tithes from kills. Using the FF so often I've discovered its it's just not worth it with all the cover saves in my meta. D-thirster is useless and a huge fire magnet without psyker support to make it hard to kill. If it swings it wipes out the squad leaving it in the open for more shooting. I would gladly pay more points for a d-thirster that strikes at initiative. Would love to hear if people found creative and effective ways to run the units I consider weak.
Anybody able to use the d-thirster without psyker support? Is the wrath of korne worth the 50 extra points? Do people ever get their bikes tied up in cc or just run and gun. Skull cannon? Thinking about running one in conjunction with a soul grinder.
