The "meh" level of my story work. Not the brightest or the greatest. But I tried. And I get points for that
Hope you enjoy!

The fields of Lost Gradius were lit up tonight. Trail's of laser's lit it up. The 423rd company just finished off a few hundred boyz that were attacking a crude trench network, set up in only a few hour's by hive labourers and guardsmen. Commander Yarimak just got the vox message that help was coming in daylight. And a few motivational speeches made by the commissar triggered a mass blood thirst for ork blood. After a nice first row of lasgun's were presented. The commissar looked out for any cowards trying to back out. The first wave of greenskin's were boyz. And a few trukk's with a large gas container strapped to where the ork's were stored in. "First row! Present!" the fearless commissar ordered as he stared at the horde of greenskin's. "fire!" he said soon after. And just like that, a bright beam of red light's shot through the air. Killing a few ork's and decapitating a few of there limbs off. "Second row! Present!" the commissar yelled out again. The second line were more jittery than the first row of guardsmen. They were afraid... Afraid of getting a choppa wedged in between there skull.

"Fire!" And once again the red beam's of light struck the horde again. Killing another few. Now only 25% of the horde remained. "We have no time for a third volley!! Quickly! Fix bayonet's!" The commissar yelled out. And quickly, and fearfully. The guardsmen fixed the bayonet's onto the latch on the lasgun and jumped back into the trench. Now the ork's began to fire there sluggas and shootas. There lack of aiming only managed to kill five or six guardsmen. "Lets not waste time you dogs! Charge!" The commissar yelled as he unsheathed his sword. The guardsmen quickly leaped out of the trenches and charged towards the charging ork's. Commander Yarimak was observing the scene. The commissar didn't follow his order's at all! Now he's wasting good troop's on a suicide charge! "quickly! Pull them back!" The old commander yelled at his advisor as he types down words and command's on his wrist computer. But it was too late... The guardsmen already got into cc with the greenskins. The combat was quick and bloody.

The guardsmen stood a perfect chance over the petty ork's. Most of them began to flee by the time we were done killing the other 400 ork's with our 250! Ha they didn't stand a fething chance!

But then the commander was woken up to a discharge of a slugga. Yarimak looks down at his tattered great coat. It was covered in green ork blood and human's too. But he was also clutching a lasgun and a chainsword. He gets up and looks beyond the concrete wall he was resting on. He was horrified by what he observed.

Bodies of hundred's of guardsmen were laying on the ground while thousand's of ork's step on there corpses. Machines were crushing the guardsmen and the trenches under there weight. The old grizzled commander begin's to think of a better option instead of going out in a flame....

He looks at his laspistol...

Well yes, as Woody Allen once said (prob more than once) 80% of success in life is just showing up. So well done on being here having written something.
You know this one isn't perfect, it could be better with a little work but hey, Keep writing, (more importantly keep reading too) you'll get better with practice.

Heads up: (pun intended) decapitacion refers only to removing heads. The 'capit' part of the word comes from the Latin for head.

Well if that's the "meh" level I'll happily read your best.
