This list is for a casual group, im looking for any advice that would improve it. My goal is to Hit Hard and Fast. I use Space Marines in a allied squad for some heavy weapons, a drop pod with locator beacon, and all in all they have some better saves and will look like a threat while im working my master plan. Advice and Opinions would be appreciated

Yes, this is how to play Tempestus. Overwhelm with deep striking Objective Secured. You'll lose Kill Point missions but can compete in most all others.

The Space Marine detachment needs work tho. It qualifies for Combined Arms Detachment so the Librarian can be your Warlord; he's less likely to die. Tactical Squads require transports to be effective. Two more locator beacon Drop pods would fit your theme. Consider some Scouts as well.

You can do better than Missile Launchers, and tactical squads of 5 models are fine.

Good luck!

Hi there! The concept for your list is good, but I think some stuff can be shuffled around to give you more options and efficiency.

First thing, get rid of the lascanons on the Valkyries. BS 3 ensure it is wasted most of the time. If you want an upgrade, go for the rocket pods, they will do wonders for you against horde. Your command squad could be streamlined too. 4 special weapons is a good idea to apply maximum pressure to a priority target - I strongly suggest meltas or plasma. The two squads of scions with melta could be split into three squads - 2 5-man squad with meltas and one 10-man squad with no upgradebif you don't have any special weapons left, or plasma if you do. You get an extra scoring unit and you will "waste" less hotshot shots when you shoot at a tank.

axisofentropy is right, 5-man Marines squad are more than enough if you just want to field a heay weapon team. In fact, scout squad with snipers, camp cloak and a missile launcher would cost 1 point less and could threaten a broader spectrum of targets. They are scoring too and have a better cover save. I too think should go with a second CAD. If points allow it, take 4 lascanons on the devastators, a techmarine to bolster a ruin where you can hide the scouts instead of the librarian and three drops pods with locator beacon on two of them to guide your tempestus scions in. If you need, you can put two scion squads in the pod two and hit your opponent hard in the first turn, or deploy the pod strategically so that you have a good "no-scatter" drop zone.

Hope this helps, good luck!

Praise the emperor, bless your weapon and pass the ammo!
