Hello Dakka.

I'm a returning player that could use some help list building. I my flgs is rather competitive and although I used to hold my own it has been a while. I picked up the new Angels of Death supplement and really like what I see. I came up with the following list and could use help optimizing.

Here goes:

Fist of Medusa Force

Demi company:

3× tactical: melta, combi melta and rhino
1x devastator: 4× lascannon
1x bike squad: 1 additional bike, attack bike with MM, 2x melta
Captain: Bike, gorgon chain, art armor, thunder hammer
Command squad: bikes, 4× grav, 4x storm shields, apothecary

Strike force command

Captain: bike, art armor, storm shield, thunder hammer
Command squad: bikes, 4x grav, 4x shields, apothecary

Auxiliary

Dreadnaught: 2x autocannon

Ally Detachment

Sanguinary Priest: Bike, power fist

Scouts: 5x sniper.

Idea is that I'll have three decent bike squads enjoying a 3+ fnp if they stay near the captains. A few object secured units to follow up. Then 3 units to hold my backfield.

Any constructive help is appreciated. Thank you

Your devastator squad is probably not going to accomplish much, lascannons aren't really spammed much in competitive meta (it's grav guns now), plus they aren't very mobile. Autocannons on the dread are not very useful, autocannons and basic dreads aren't very strong, dreads are too easy to kill. It looks fun but you will probably have trouble against super competitive lists, casual lists you'll do better against.

Thank you gdzilla. I appreciate the feedback.

I'm hurting for points, that's why I went for the cheap rifleman dreadnought. I'd prefer an ironclad drop podding in with double flamers. I think I can maneuver some points to get the devestators 2 grav cannons and a rhino easily enough. Just can't figure out what to do about that Dreadnaught.

If you guys have any suggestions I'm all ears.

If you can try to make him a contemptor dread, they seem pretty good.
