I was looking at the gw site and I couldn't find the empire while I was in the aos section. Are they still playable in the newer editions, Or are they gone?
And its also a pleasant thing that the state troops are still a thing. I always wanted to start a empire army. But now its just the free people now....

Yeah, I'm looking forward to more fluff about the free guilds. Having normal humans stand up to the legions of chaos (and worse) while surviving in the realms and trying to rebuild their lost empires.
I can already envision the epic sieges the Ironweld are going to be part of.
Though it's the Azyrheim Lancehost that I'm praying gets more attention in both figures and lore. Human, Stormcast and Aelf knights storming the ranks of hell with lances and warbeasts? Yes please!

Well doc first they done blew up the whole world that was upsetting I tell ya.
Then they discontinued one of my armies that done make me mad.
So I reckons I'm a tad ornery.
