I'm trying to make some 'chaos tempesus scions.' I already plan a headswap, and they already have some oddly chaos-like armor, though they lack the sort of trim along their boots and gloves. See what I mean:

Does anyone have any tips for modelling this stuff in a reasonably efficient way? I've done it before with a hero character before with green stuff, but it took foorrreeevver. I simply don't have 20 hours to spend on the trim of 5 models.

Thin plasticard, perhaps?

Dont know if it will work as i am still to try it, use greenstuff and press it against the trim that you want ( that is if you have a model on hand with some trim) use that as a pressmould? Might work.

Yeah, with delicate scalpel work and a lot of patience, you can use thin plasticard and rivets (shaved off other models) to emulate this look. I've even done it to fix bits of GW models where the sprue moulding meant details were lacking in some areas along the mould-line. Heaps of work though...

Not really answering the question here, but have you considered painting on the trim instead of modelling it?

modeling it with putty will be easy - well easy compared to carving it out of plastic card imo. just make a fine sausage and place on trim area, flatten it then aline to the edge, allow to dry then add tiny balls where you want the arrows, flatten and push the sides in to make the triangle shape. use a rubber paint brush they make green stuffing easy

I take it finding second hand pads/legs is out of the question?
