Hi, so I'm aiming to start an Imperial fists legion and I have a 1500 point list planned out for future purchases. Would be interested in what people think of the viability and how fluffy it is. I'm not trying to be super competitive, I've just chosen things I think are cool and could work nicely in the Stone Gauntlet RoW.

HQ
Alexis Pollux

Elite
Comtemptor Mortis
Kheres

Apothecary Detachment
Apothecary x 2
Augary scanner x 2
Power Sword

Troops
Breacher Siege Squad x20
Melta x4

Breacher Siege Squad x20
Graviton Gun x4

Legion Tactical Squadx20
Heavy Chainsword

The idea would be to stick Alexis with the melta breacher squad and the apothecaries with the siege squads for a T5 4+ FNP. I don't have much anti-tank, except for Aleix and the melta squad, and I guess the Contemptor Mortis if it's lucky. The tactics would be simply to march forward and hopefully overwhelm the opponent with small arms fire until I get close enough to assault hopefully extremely weakened units.

I intend to buy the B@C, and see if I can make some breacher squad members from that as well as the Tacs I'll get. I'm not in a rush to get this army together to play either.

Star Trek taught me so much. Like, how you should accept people, whether they be black, white, Klingon or even female...

Looks like a cool and quite fluffy list. No complaints here.

Only in 30K would we see an army of 60 marines and think it's good

I like it, good place to start and it's a solid foundation to build out to a larger army with too.

I wouldn't even bother trying to assault the enemy.

Dig those guys into cover on objectives and laugh as your opponent throws everything they have into your immovable, stubborn infantry who have extra protection from blast and template weapons and negate the enemy's charge bonus. If they don't assault you then you're picking away at them with BS5 bolter fire.

You have the contemptor for anti-armor and for harassing the enemy lines, an Alexis to beat-stick anyone that does make it into combat with you.

Moving forward I would try to get some faster elements to take upfield objectives (Special weapon squads in Rhinos, Jet Bikes?), and some heavy hitters for your backfield (quad mortars, Sicarians etc)

You pretty much named exactly what I wanted to get next, MD. In a larger game, I would aim to grab some jet bikes, another dread (maybe a close combat focused one) and quad mortars.

If I want to stick with this RoW, I'll need more troops! I could split up some units, but I think that'll really reduce their effectiveness.
