IT has been awhile since I did GW as a hobby. I am more of a conversionist & painter hobbyist with GW products, but I do like to game when I can. I like studying religions and mythology, and have beaten to death the standard themes found in GW games (i.e. Nordic gods, Egyptian, etc...). So, with that being said, I figured an amazingly converted, maybe small, army based off Hindu Gods & Godess'.
Some examples would be -
Ganesh. Perhaps a terminator lord with the elephant head on it. Maybe even using a Nurgle Daemon Prince model, or Great Unclean One model...
Hanuman is a monkey faced god with a large mace. Use a beastmen's mead most likely...seen as flying......
Shiva, 4 arms, many bladed weapons, blue skinned...The Masque model might work well...
Ravana, many heads and many arms, edged eapons, blue skinned....rode a golden chariot/platform
Durga, on a tiger, sometimes portrayed as part tiger or a humanoid tiger, 8 arms if a human riding a tiger, many edged weapons....
Arjuna, in gold armor with white clothes, huge bow, sword, blue skinned....
Narasimha Krishna, lion headed blue warrior...
Yama God of Death, red skin, black clothes, lots of skulls....Khorne model might do...
So, firstly, a 40k project or a AoS?
Secondly, feel free to suggest models to use for conversions!
