What if 8th edition dropped tomorrow and every codex that was going to be released that edition was released at the exact same time. Now with that in mind, what would you do if nothing changed as far as power balance is concerned. By that I mean that the top tier got another buff and the middle stayed meh and finally our beloved bottom tier codices got another big hit with the nerfhammer, what would you do?

Personally I am addicted to my Ork army, I have spent far to many hours personalizing these little green buggers to outright get rid of them, however I don't know what I would do if Orks got another whack with the nerf stick and became even less competitive. I think that I would either stop playing entirely and switch to another game or possibly just play against opponents with armies around my armies abilities (IE Chaos, Tyranids, IG).

What about you lot?

First of all, this is exactly what would happen.

If you hope that the game balance will change in the long term, your are playing the wrong game.
New core rules and FAQ will bring a minor shift in balance and the game will be playable until the first 9th edition codex is released (GW always strarts in the middle of the current edition to write the codex books with the next one in mind)

What I would do depends on the changed.
If the core rules are good and codex tweaks bring the game back to balance I will play it.
If the core is still broken, I continue to play something else

Harry, bring this ring to Narnia or the Sith will take the Enterprise
