Hi everyone,

I'm not sure if this is the right forum to be asking this, so correct me if I'm wrong. I'm looking to sell a bunch of my miniatures, as I'm looking to buy the new age of sigmar starter set. I'm not sure how much to charge for the miniatures, so any advice is welcome.

The miniatures that I'm thinking of selling is as follows;

40~ ork boyz (assault on blackreach set)
10~ ork nobz (assault on blackreach set)
10~ necron warriors
10~ tau fire warriors and kroot carnivores

I have other miniatures, but not a substantial enough number to sell I believe. All of the miniatures are assembled, some are painted to a low quality, and others are base coated in black.

Any advice is welcome.

Two options:

DakkaDakka's own swap shop forum, which is conveniently just below this one.

eBay. This is also a good place to compare prices of similar items, which will give you a guide to pricing your sets.

Pictures of the miniatures will help, but note that assembled/primed/partially painted will sell for less than NIB/NOS(new in box/new on sprue).

I use the swap shop here, and eBay. Just know that unless it's new in box or on sprue, you're not gonna see a great return. I sold a painted unit of GK terminators for the same price as they cost, but I probably spent thirty hours painting them. And that's by far the most I've ever gotten back for painted guys. Most of the time, I end up with 20% or so back.

Probably will want to stick with eBay or if you're feeling lucky Craigslist.

With only a single post people may be hesitant to trade with you on the swapshop and will not pay as much (no offense, I'm saying this as one of those guys just so you have fair warning)

If you do want to try swapshop, make sure to take pictures and be careful who you trade with. People get scammed on here all the time, it is very much a "use at your own risk" deal. I've used it probably 10 times, maybe more, but I only trade with people on here who are clearly legit and probably aren't going to scam me. As a rule, I would never trade with a new account that's not proven unless it was a heck of a deal and there were good pictures.

Since you're in Australia I'd really recommend wargamerau. You need to get 100 posts up before you can sell, but there's a huge community of 40k traders there. Plus then you don't need to worry about international shipping.
