Starting SoB, and i know they are one of the most difficult armies to collect
A friend is selling a Battle Sister Squad and Jacobus, so Infantry isnt a problem and HQ
I feel like the problem SoB have is lack of support (BOTH GW and FW, as GW has stopped producing the Immolator, and FW have stopped producing the Repressor)

Any ideas on how i can circumvent these problems as cheaply as possible (and sticking to GW models)
I only have one idea, and thats DE Wyches+Green Stuff+Chainswords/Power Swords for Sisters Repentia/Death Cult Assassins

The only thing stopping me from buying the Order of Eternal Mercy is the presence of high heels on almost every model. That was something that I specifically said would stop me from buying this product line do when TGG1 was in its early stages.

They are, apart from that, great models. Sadly, the high heels are a show-stopper for me.

It is best to be a pessimist. You are usually right and, when you're wrong, you're pleasantly surprised.

You can always try to convert your own vehicles based on rhino's and some bits Look for some GK bits, bretonnia bits ( while they are still there ), and sculpt some yourself. .

I would stay away from the raging heroes stuff. It really doesn't have the same aesthetics. But there are some nice 3th party rhino kit conversion sets out there.

Your biggest problem is sticking to only GW models for this. For immolators etc. you should look at ebay and see how viable it will be to buy enough for what you want; and in a condition which you can work with. If you can't get them then work out a conversion you can reliably make. Maybe mix Rhino and Hellhound parts for the Immolater. Ebay does have some 3rd party hatches and stuff with sisters iconography, it also has stencils.

The best way to do it would probably be to get yourself some iconic oop vehicle sister bits. And learn how to replicate them.

This would be a good source for inspiration.

Making a "fleur de lys" or purity seals with greenstuff isn't that hard really.

It is also worth to check out the 40k terrain and dark angels range for useful decorative bits.

The Exorcist kit comes with the Immolator kit, except for the clear plastic canopy, so you can use it to make Immolators as well.

Repressors are very easy to convert. It's basically a Rhino with a giant dozer blade and a box on top. Just google Repressor Conversion.

Avengers can be easily converted from Dark Talons, if you don't want to shell out for the Forge World model.

Basic infantry models can cover all the different unit choices other than Repentia and Battle Conclaves.

The high heels are a big no for me, too.
This is so stupid and so hypersexualized. Soldiers with high heels, seriously...

Outside of how easy proxying models is, the main obstacle is that the codex is so monobuild if you like to win occasionally.

One thing in your favor... Consistantly being underestimated. My Sisters are stronger in 7th execution than ever before. Not an easy army to play, and even harder to collect, but effective in many, even most circumstances. And nobody sees them coming.

Forgeworld actually gave fluff for alternate patterns of the Sisters vehicles; the 'proper' Exorcist for instance (ie the one with the church organ) is actually known as a Prioris pattern. The Sanctorum pattern Exorcist is a much more 'whirlwind' looking one, and Forgeworld even used to make an alternate missile launcher kit for it.

With a little imagination and some parts from a bitz seller, you shouldn't have too much trouble converting Razorbacks to Immolators and Whirlwinds to Exorcists imo. For Repressors you could even go a little further and use some Plasticard to extend the top of a Rhino to represent the extra fireports. As long as it looks roughly the same, just claim its a different variant. Imperial Armour 2 mentions in passing that there are 11 different Immolator patterns and 4 different Exorcist patterns after all.

if I were to convert an immolator using a rhino, am I allowed to put the TLMM or TLHeavy flamer on one of the front holes where the stormbolter normally goes? I can't find anywhere to indicate the immo weapon needs to go where it normally does.

Your biggest problem is going to be the expense. Even badly painted second hand models bring in a good price.

In terms of actual gaming their digital codex is incredibly weak and its so hard to make even a semi-competitive list. Especially with the amount of D weapons other armies have access to.

It's your conversion and your model. The only limit is what's on the rules and your imagination. If you think it looks best that way, go for it.

Cost is the biggest issue.

Dwindle models is the second. In the past twelve months the Repressor and Immolator have gone oop. Both of these are vital.

My advice would be to not bother. They're either about to be re-released or squat'd.

Yes but... if re-release you can still use old models. If squat'd can use space marine rules.
