Check Ebay, Craigslist for some of the old box sets from 5th which had a ton of nobs and slugga choppa boyz.

Many of the ebay listings don't over much of a discount on boyz & nobz, especially if they don't include all the bits in the kit. Often you'll see 5 nobz who just have choppas. It's rare to find 5 nobs with 3 power klaws, which is what you get when you buy the nobz kit new.
Look for ones that are atrociously painted...you can sometimes get these for a song.

Have you tried third party sellers like Mantic? Their Marauders looks pretty good for the price. I got 30 boyz including weapons options plus a wartrak standin.

If you like the Mantic aesthetic then that's a great way to go. They often pop up for sale at various dealers or second hand at ridiculous bargains.
Also, if you're willing to buy used, there are always bargains on used orks online. The bargains are even better if you're willing to fix broken figs and even better than that if you're willing to strip the paint from (or paint over) poorly painted figs.

Search with the keywords "Black Reach" or "AoBR" and you'll get tons of hits from the older 5th edition starter box. I am positively drowning in Slugga Boyz and Nobz from that.
