Lets say hypothetically I came into possession of 20 heavy weapons teams with autocannons thru trade and conversion. In addition I can hypothetically convert them into lascannons as well.

What can I do with them in the Renegades and Heretics Imperial Armor: Siege of Vraks codex?

The Unending Host detachment only allows 1 hvy sprt. However infantry platoons can take 1 per 10 men in a squad.

The Purge detachment allows up to 4 hvy sprt.

The squad comes in 3 and can be reinforced by 3 more for a total of 6.

What is the best way to use these models. This is not imperial guard with their special Orders.

also msu is not so good due to the 10 pt militia training tax.

Honestly, they are best used in the IA:13 renegades and heretics army. You can take a tzeentch upgrade on your platoons, grab 20 dudes for 2 heavy weapons and have your normal dudes snap firing at BS2.

For competitive purposes, heavy weapons teams don't really have a place in R&H, or really on the table. Autocannons are better on sentinels, as they can be mobile and will be cheaper. You also don't have to worry about moral. Though you wont get cover and dont have 360 line of sight. You also don't take up the most valuable slot in the entire codex, the heavy support.

Lascannons are meh, we have artillery, Rapier laser destroyers, that you could convert them into, they outperform HWT point for point any day of the week. They are disgustingly good, and disgustingly cheap.

We also have access to just about every leman russ tank ever made. A T3 BS3 2 wound random leadership model is a bit outclassed when it can't be fluffed up with some standard dudes. Especially when sentinels are around to outclass them, at least if you are taking big blobs.

I've got 6 made that I run in pairs for my infantry platoons. Remember that the heavy weapons can fire at full BS as long as they don't move, the rest of the unit can conga up, but they will prevent you from charging.
I have enough bits to make plenty more, but plan on using them for artillery and other random projects.
